Our PurposeWe are focused on providing support to each other and to any other writers in the Warrensburg area. Some members are published, others are working toward publishing their first book.
All writers, beginners or experienced, are welcome to join us. Our meetings (first and third Tuesdays of each month) usually involve announcements, a short session on writing craft or marketing, followed by constructive critiques of each other's work. |

Our Meetings
Our meetings are on the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 6:00-8:30 pm. You are welcome to attend the meetings in person or on Zoom. You can attend in person at the Trails Regional Library at 432 N. Holden Street.
Each of our regular meetings begins with short business topics, followed by a presentation of a writing topic, then critiques of up to five double-spaced pages of original work in the suggested Times New Roman, 12 pt. font.
Selections for the critiques by pre-published and published authors should be sent to Co-Adminstrator Stan Smith at [email protected] by midnight on the Thursday before the meeting (five days before the meeting). Stan will email the received documents to the entire group on Friday morning. Stan will also send an email with the Zoom link before the meeting begins.
If for some reason we cannot meet, a Facebook post and email will be shared as soon as possible.
Our writers also have the option of meeting on Zoom on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 6:00-8:00 pm for a writing session. On these days, we begin with a few topics of free discussion, write on our own for a period of time, with a short discussion again, followed by another period of writing.
If there is a fifth Tuesday in the month, we do not meet.
